I had been struggling for a couple of years to kick start my metabolism and tone up after recovering from some injuries and work stressors. Nicole's classes turned out to be the best choice for me and took my fitness to a whole new level! After two 8 week sessions I have shed a few inches and built much more strength, mobility and endurance to support a happy and healthy lifestyle. Nicole is so amazing, a great teacher, knowledgeable and her energy is contagious! I highly recommend her as a motivational instructor/trainer for anyone wanting that extra spark back in their lives!
Signing up and committing myself to Next Step with Nicole Renee has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I grew up being very active as a dancer but as I was finishing university and going through a lot of personal life changes, staying healthy was difficult (to put it lightly). Worse than my lack of fitness, however, was my very poor mental health. One day, Nicole reached out to me with an opportunity to start my wellness journey, and though I used to generally avoid signing up for things with a time commitment, I agreed. Since then, I have pushed myself and witnessed my own strength, both physically and mentally. This program helped me as I worked on improving my mental health and it continues to support me in being more present and passionate in my day to day life. The community of women I have gained is incredibly positive and unlike any other. If you are looking for a change, a lift and a boost in motivation and confidence, this is the thing to do!

I was feeling tired and I had gained some weight. My family supported the idea of me working with a trainer and I started in the fall of 2019. My sessions with Nicole were excellent and after a discussion with Nicole my program was very directed to my needs-improve my energy, work on flexibility, add some strength and lose some weight." I noticed soon after starting these sessions that all of these goals were being met. I have lost 10 pounds , I am a type II diabetic on insulin, but my insulin requirements have decreased by 30 %. I am walking more -about 12000 steps per day. Even with the interruption by COVID-19 I have been able to keep up the program, but not as well as before COVID-19. I look forward to getting back to the personal training sessions with Nicole. I know that I am healthier after starting my training with Nicole.

I started training with Nicole about 8 months after having my daughter. I had a very difficult and traumatic first few months after the baby was born at 28 weeks and my physical fitness and my diet were at the bottom of my priority list. I was slowly getting passed the remnants of postpartum depression and really hoping to achieve some aggressive goals I had set for myself. I wanted to feel better inside and look better on the outside. My main objective was to look like a bombshell for my wedding that was planned for November of 2019.
Nicole started coming to my house for personal training sessions once a week, sometimes 2 times a week depending on our schedules. She was always flexible with me if I needed to rebook because of my baby or any other reason. She understood how to adapt my workouts if I was feeling a certain way physically or mentally. It was always comforting knowing that she was concerned with how I felt inside and outside and wanted to make sure I was feeling my best after a workout.
Nicole always checked in on me during the weeks and really showed her support and a genuine sense of friendship. I was struggling with the best way to get into healthy eating habits and she guided me through that process as well. Nicole is so warm and positive and I really couldn't have asked for a better trainer.
I had a few issues with headaches over the Christmas holidays and I had to take a break from training for a few months. It was a very frustrating period of time because I had such a strong start and was really seeing results. Nicole always checked in on me and made sure that I was in a good head space even though she wasn't able to physically train me. After a few months had passed and I was back on the recovery, Nicole was right by my side again training me and making sure I was reaching my goals. We started doing measurements and weigh ins so I could really see my progress come to life. I started attending Nicole's group fitness classes too and it was so nice to have the one on one training and the benefits of the group class too.
When I was a few months out from the wedding I brought Nicole to my wedding dress fitting so she could help me see my vision and see what we needed to work on in the gym. It was so amazing to have her there and be a part of such a special time. Nicole was always so proud of my progress and having her see me in my dress was very touching. We made a plan to focus on certain aspects of my training for the last few months and really buckled down to get those final changes that I was wanting. Nicole was with me every step of the way of my fitness journey.
I haven't been working out much these past few months but I am excited to join another one of Nicole's programs soon and keep grinding it out to be the best that I can be. Anyone that works with Nicole will be so satisfied with the results, the experience and the friendship that she creates.
I would strongly encourage people at all fitness levels to consider training with Nicole! I'm not a fitness expert in any way, but I've been working with her for almost a year now and my strength and endurance have definitely improved. What I love most about our sessions is her vitality and commitment. She is creative and thoughtful in her development of our workout plans and will customize the sessions to match my goals/ability. Her positive energy and professionalism make it a pleasure to train with her - even at 6:30 am which is definitely NOT my favourite time to work out. However, it is what works best with my very hectic schedule and I am thankful that she doesn't expect me to be joyful at that atrocious time. To close, if you are looking for a customized workout with a highly professional and enthusiastic trainer, I would recommend you consider her.
10 Reasons why I think Nicole Renee is an excellent trainer: I am a senior with a lot of experience with personal trainers over the past 50 years. I have gone to gyms, enrolled in classes, had trainers come to my home and used on-line training. Nicole is the best, and here is why. My needs as a senior have changed over the past few years and I have moved from interest in strength, cardio, and endurance to flexibility, balance and resilience (sort of like endurance but shorter and with faster recovery from muscle stiffness) .
1. Nicole has listened to my changing needs and adapted her exercise program to meet those needs
2. I am easily bored and, while I am committed to my good health, I am lazy. Nicole somehow makes our training sessions fly – I am always surprised when they are over. There is always something new to learn.
3. I workout as much in my head as my body – so I want to know where the workout should be focussing on and how to get the form right. Nicole is so observant! She can identify where I should be feeling the work and pinpoint how I can improve – form is everything to me.
4. I would choose grace and form over sweating and grunting. Nicole is a dancer and incorporates many of her dance moves into the workout. I may still end up sweating – but it is with grace. I never grunt – but I might whine.
5. Nicole listens and has an amazing educational background; dance, health coaching and diet which allows her to hear what is said and analyze from multi-perspectives. Her technical advice really helps and if it doesn’t then I say so and she will come back and work on it in another way.
6. Nicole has a wonderful sense of humour and through it exhibits tolerance, understanding, compassion and flexibility. As long as I show up there is no guilt engendered. If I have a tough day or low energy, she will jolly me along and at the end of the workout I feel uplifted.
7. Nicole is fully present for the workouts – you feel like you have her full attention and that her only goal is to help you meet your workout goals.
8. Nicole’s knowledge base is extremely flexible. When Covid19 emerged she adapted my personal training sessions to on-line sessions and because my husband had noticed how well I was doing with her he asked to join us. So 2 times a week we head for the basement, click into a zoom meeting with Nicole. My husband and I are very different in our workout needs, but somehow Nicole makes it work, all the while encouraging us and telling us we are wonderful. We are both very happy with the results.
9. Nicole is a competent business woman and this is important to me. She manages pricing and payments in an extremely trustworthy way and as she grows her business she is also growing her knowledge base.
10. Best for last – Nicole is the Michelangelo of trainers – in the year that I have worked with her, she has sculptured my body. Friends, family and especially my husband have seen the difference.
